The Community Foundation of North Louisiana aims to enhance the quality of life in North Louisiana by fostering philanthropy and building a permanent, growing source of funds. Since its establishment in 1961, it has managed assets to benefit the community, investing these resources and returning them as grants for various charitable causes. With over $138 million in assets managed and more than $80 million granted to nonprofit organizations, the Foundation is dedicated to solving community problems and supporting a wide range of charitable endeavors.
The Small Organization Grants program supports nonprofits with annual revenue of $250,000 or less, limiting funding requests to a maximum of $10,000. Eligible programs must align with one of the Community Foundation’s areas: Arts and Culture, Civic Engagement, Economic Development, Education, Environment, Health & Science, Human Services, or Organizational Development and Capacity Building. Funding can be used for program support, general operating support, or capital needs. In the last funding cycle, grants averaged $7,000, with the smallest at $5,000 and the largest at $10,000.
