The YCF's mission is to support specific non-profit organizations through designated funds established by donors. It welcomes applications that align with its donors’ interests, as presented in its field of interest and advised funds, advocating for the betterment of communities through targeted financial support.
The YCF Community Grants program aims to fund capital and equipment projects, along with special programs, across several key areas: arts and culture, education, health and human services, recreation, and youth and family services. It prioritizes start-ups of new initiatives, one-time projects, seed money for pilot or emerging community needs, matching grants to attract more funding, broad community outreach, underserved projects, program expansions, and urgent needs planning. This grant supports animal welfare, health and social services, and education for a one-year cycle with eligibility for subsequent reapplication, covering all five counties served by YCF.
