The grant program focuses on two main areas: supporting new or existing projects and providing capacity building assistance to nonprofit animal shelters. Capacity building aims at strengthening the organization's infrastructure for long-term success, encompassing board development, strategic planning, evaluation, and capital expenditures such as equipment, technology, building renovations, or relocation. This initiative is dedicated to assisting animal shelters in the Greater New Haven area, ensuring they can continue and enhance their service delivery.
