The mission of the community foundation’s revitalization initiative is to offer unique opportunities for community benefit organizations and residents to enact transformational change. This is achieved by collectively creating and improving community assets and infrastructure, aiming to realize the vision of a clean, safe, and productive Westmoreland County.
The grant program aims to enhance the quality of life for Westmoreland County residents by promoting the area as a clean, safe, and productive place to live. It focuses on stimulating partnerships among neighborhood residents, business associations, civic groups, nonprofits, and local government to foster a unified community. The grant approves projects that foster and encourage revitalization in communities with a large number of households living at or below 200% of poverty.
