The Community Foundation of Greenville aims to inspire giving and bridge philanthropy with purpose, striving to make Greenville County an inclusive and vibrant community.
The Greenville Women Giving (GWG) grant program aims to support high-impact projects in Greenville County that can lead to significant positive change within the community. It emphasizes projects within five focus areas: Arts, Education, Environment, Health, and Human Services. The program seeks to fund initiatives that align with an organization's mission, address community needs, foster collaboration, leverage other funding sources, and demonstrate measurable results within a reasonable timeline. Specifically, it supports projects that promote art creation and appreciation, lifelong learning and education from early childhood through higher education, environmental conservation and responsible resource use, community health and wellness, and addressing basic human needs and social problems. The intent is to award at least one grant in each focus area annually, with the top-ranked grant requests in these areas receiving priority.
