The Community Foundation of Northern Nevada aims to fortify the community through philanthropy and leadership, fostering connections between those who care and causes that matter. The YES (Youth Engaged in Service) Fund is designed to support young individuals aged 5-24 interested in contributing to community service, particularly in science and STEM projects that benefit Washoe County communities. The fund, established by the Washoe County Commission, offers grants ranging from $500 to $2,500. Both group and individual proposals are welcomed, covering expenses for service projects including but not limited to websites, publications, and materials.
