The mission of The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation is dedicated primarily to sustained investment in the quality of life of the people of Southeastern Michigan and Western New York. The Pontiac Capacity Building program is designed to provide grants to civic, community, and nonprofit organizations in Pontiac, Michigan. Supported by the Pontiac Funders Collaborative and administered by the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, it aims to support fair, equitable, just, and inclusive efforts driven by the community. The program specifically targets organizations led by or serving those who face historical and institutional barriers, including underrepresented groups, individuals from low-income backgrounds, and those with limited access to resources. It seeks to enhance the capacity of local government, grassroots and community organizations, and nonprofits by increasing access to tools, staff, or consultants.
