The mission of the Niagara Area Foundation (NAF) is to address the philanthropic void in Niagara County through charitable efforts. Established in 2000 by a collective of individuals from the private and nonprofit sectors, NAF aims to support and positively impact the community of Niagara County.
The William F. Thiel Trust grant program, managed by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, is designed to support healthcare improvements in Wyoming County, New York. The grant focuses on several key priorities developed in collaboration with healthcare providers and experts. These priorities include improving healthcare infrastructure (covering equipment, personnel, and public health), and enhancing health services (access and navigation, chronic disease management, dental health, emergency assistance, mental health/substance use disorder treatment, reproductive health, and transportation). Grant requests must align with these specified priorities to be considered, reflecting the program's broad goal of offering substantial, targeted support to address the diverse healthcare needs of Wyoming County's residents.
