The mission of the Nashoba Valley Health Care Fund is to improve the community health of residents in the Nashoba Valley. This objective was set into motion in 2006 following the establishment of the fund through the division of the Nashoba Valley Medical Center endowment, managed by the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts and the Greater Lowell Community Foundation.
The Nashoba Valley Health Care Fund is geared towards enhancing the community health of people living in eleven specified communities by focusing on broad health-related goals and specific causes. These causes include the prevention of health problems, improving access to healthcare services, addressing elder health issues, supporting youth and adolescent health, and tackling behavioral health challenges.
