We inspire and steward generosity to foster vibrant, inclusive, and healthy communities throughout Mendocino County.
The Environmental Fund, including specific funds like the American Youth Services Fund and the Charles F. Flinn and Walker B. Tilley Fund for Sustainable Forestry, aims to educate youth and the general public on the importance of nature. It encourages appreciation, conservation, and responsible use of the natural environment. The Environmental Education and Conservation Fund, established in 2018 by Roger Foote and Chuck Vaughn, supports organizations offering conservation and/or education programs. These programs focus on ecological understanding, the scientific method in conservation, the impact of climate change, land stewardship, and habitat and watershed restoration. The grant aims to increase access to natural lands for all people and supports various projects, including educational and conservation initiatives with a total funding of $60,000 and grant ranges from $1,000 to $7,500.
