We inspire and steward generosity to foster vibrant, inclusive, and healthy communities throughout Mendocino County.
The Environmental Fund aims to educate youth and the general public about the importance and wonder of nature, encouraging the appreciation, conservation, and responsible use of the natural environment. Its funding priorities include educational and youth projects that raise awareness about conservation, provide personal enrichment, and expose youth to Mendocino County's environments for deeper connection and stewardship. Additionally, it supports conservation projects focusing on habitat and watershed restoration, increasing canopy trees, and enhancing public access to natural lands. Programs that protect and rehabilitate natural habitats for long-term community benefit are also prioritized. The fund also addresses forest and rangeland projects, assisting in maintaining and enhancing the values of working forests and rangelands through education, restoration, and best management practices.
