The Community Foundation's mission is to make the Richmond region a better place with bold solutions and inspired philanthropy.
The competitive grants program of GCF is designed to support nonprofit organizations and agencies that provide direct services and programs impacting Gloucester County. These grants prioritize four main areas expected to generate positive and lasting changes: Cultural Vibrancy, encouraging community engagement with arts and culture; Economic Prosperity, aiming for resource sustainability and economic stability for residents; Educational Success, focusing on academic achievement, community engagement, and workforce preparation for youth; and Health & Wellness, promoting safety and health among community members. The foundation values innovation, collaboration, measurable outcomes, and sustainability in the proposals it supports.
