The Community Foundation of the Ozarks is committed to achieving positive impact with regard to issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the CFO service area.
The Benton County Community Foundation aims to improve the quality of life in Benton County by engaging in thoughtful grantmaking and community leadership. Their grant program is designed to be flexible, addressing the most pressing needs of the community at any given time. This is achieved through unrestricted or field-of-interest funds provided by charitable donors, allowing community leaders on the Board of Directors to make informed decisions. The Benton County Philanthropic Society (The Benton County PHIL - Philanthropic Hometown Impact Leaders) is responsible for making grant decisions. The focus is on awarding grants that address priority needs in Benton County, including expanding existing programs or creating new services. This year, the program's total grant budget has been increased to $50,000.00, thanks to a one-time matching grant from the Patterson Family Foundation. Grants will be awarded in amounts up to $25,000.00, with additional grants of $15,000.00 and $10,000.00 for the second and third highly-ranked agencies. Finalists in the grant program must submit a video presentation as part of the review process.
