The Mount Vernon Area Community Foundation aims to improve the quality of life for individuals in the Mount Vernon area via thoughtful grantmaking and community leadership. Governed by a knowledgeable Board of Directors, this foundation allows for flexible community grantmaking to address the most pressing needs at any given time. This flexibility is supported by unrestricted or field-of-interest funds from charitable donors, with community leaders on the Board making informed decisions. Grant decisions are specifically made by a committee, and the maximum grant request amount is $10,000.
