    Overview

The Monocacy Foundation offers grants specifically designed to bridge the funding gap for citizens of Frederick County who have an intellectual/developmental disability. These grants target needs that are typically not met by other financial means, covering a range of expenditures from vacations, over-the-counter medications, pet ownership costs, to specialized medical equipment, care, and employment training. While acknowledging that many of these needs may not seem critical, they significantly contribute to the overall well-being and satisfaction of individuals with developmental disabilities across all ages. This initiative originated with a generous donation aimed at fostering financial stability among the community of individuals with disabilities, thereby promoting a more inclusive environment where every person has the opportunity to experience a fulfilling and dignified life.
