Accelerate breakthroughs in lifesaving research and empower people everywhere to conquer cancer.
The Conquer Cancer Annual Meeting Research Award (AMRA) for Underrepresented Populations is designed to support medical students and residents who are underrepresented in medicine by providing them with the opportunity to present their oncology-related research at the ASCO Annual Meeting. This grant aims to enhance the presentation skills of the participants, facilitate networking with oncology professionals, and expose them to career possibilities in the field of oncology. Award recipients receive financial support that covers travel costs to the ASCO Annual Meeting, including a $1,500 travel advance, complimentary registration, and access to the Annual Meeting housing block, although it's noted that the housing block access does not include the actual hotel costs. Recipients are expected to attend specific Annual Meeting events and are encouraged to fully engage with the meeting's offerings for career guidance and professional development.
