Accelerate breakthroughs in lifesaving research and empower people everywhere to conquer cancer.
The Conquer Cancer – Breast Cancer Research Foundation Research Professorship for Diversity and Inclusion in Breast Cancer aims to provide flexible funding to eminent researchers who have significantly contributed to breast cancer research and are committed to mentoring future researchers in this field. The grant, which is a five-year award totaling $500,000, seeks primarily to enhance diversity within the oncology workforce and cancer research arena. It targets established investigators from racially and/or ethnically underrepresented groups in academic medicine and breast cancer research, holding the rank of full professor. These funds, while not intended to cover the entirety of research costs or the investigator's full salary, are designed to support the awardee's broad research activities. Supported research areas include Breast Cancer Disparities, Comparative Effectiveness Research in Breast Cancer, Drug Development, and Translational Research.
