Women Who Conquer Cancer Mentorship Awards

The Women Who Conquer Cancer Mentorship Awards are designed to acknowledge and celebrate extraordinary women leaders in oncology who have played a significant role as mentors. Specifically, these awards aim to honor those who have excelled in guiding the professional development of women as clinicians, educators, and researchers within the field of oncology. The overarching goals are to recognize the pivotal role of women mentors, subsequently encouraging the narrowing of gender disparities in career advancement in oncology. Two distinct awards are part of this program: the Hologic, Inc Endowed WWCC Mentorship Award for a U.S.-based recipient and the International WWCC Mentorship Award. Winners of these awards receive recognition, an honorarium, and various forms of support, including travel support to attend the Annual Meeting. Furthermore, awardees are expected to contribute by participating in a panel discussion on career development and mentorship, amplifying the initiative’s impact on promoting women in the oncology field.
