We started the Cook Family Foundation in 2018 as a way to extend our love towards non-profits in our community. Our mission is simple: to help those who do good, do more.
The Cook Family Foundation grant program guides local efforts to address the needs of under-resourced communities in Shiawassee County and surrounding areas. It seeks to improve the expertise of community leaders, increase nonprofit capacities, and build efficient partnerships to meet community needs. The foundation is open to various issue areas but shows a preference for expanding nonprofit capacities, fostering community collaboration, protecting the Shiawassee River and its watershed, valuing education, strengthening families, caring for vulnerable community members, promoting arts and history, and building an inclusive community.
