Connecting with our community is an integral part of our company's core values. Cox Charities, funded entirely by Cox employees and business partners, aims to invest in local non-profit organizations, particularly those offering STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) enrichment programs to youth in specific service areas.
Since 2001, Cox has dedicated nearly $7 million in grants and in-kind support to non-profit organizations. The Community Grants specifically support STEAM education for youth in Connecticut, Ohio, and Rhode Island. Cox Charities Community Grants, ranging from $5,000 to $12,000, are awarded annually to non-profits demonstrating strong alignment with STEAM focus areas, significant community impact, and clear success metrics. Nearly $140,000 in grants are planned to be awarded to nonprofits, with decisions influenced by the Cox Charities Community Advisory Committee, which includes civic, business, and community leaders, as well as Cox employees.
