D-Prize focuses on seeding new ventures that dramatically increase access to poverty-alleviating interventions. Their mission centers on the belief that the world has already developed effective products and services to end poverty, but significant delivery gaps prevent these solutions from reaching those most in need. D-Prize aims to bridge this gap by supporting innovative approaches to deliver proven poverty interventions at scale.
The D-Prize grant program is designed to support the launch of new organizations or businesses that can effectively distribute proven poverty interventions to areas where extreme poverty exists. The program targets a broad spectrum of areas, including health, water, education, agriculture, livelihoods, energy, and public services, plus a "Custom" category for other interventions. The primary goal is to find scalable and impactful delivery models that can fill the gap between existing poverty solutions and the people who need them the most. D-Prize offers up to $20,000 USD to the most promising teams to launch their ventures in regions afflicted by extreme poverty.
