The Decolonizing Wealth Project is an Indigenous and Black-led racial justice organization. It envisions a world where racial equity is a societal norm, advocating for systemic change to ensure everyone can thrive and heal from colonial trauma. Through education, radical reparative giving, and narrative change, it aims to disrupt how capital is moved and controlled, striving for truth, reconciliation, and healing from colonization.
The California Truth and Healing Fund, under Liberated Capital of the Decolonizing Wealth Project, supports California Native American families, communities, tribes, and organizations in healing work aligned with the objectives of the California Truth & Healing Council. The fund prioritizes truth and healing activities through capacity-building & technical assistance, advocacy & movement-building, and direct support for healing initiatives. Funding decisions are guided by a CA Native American advisory board, focusing initially on projects that document tribal histories and narratives, enhance legal and advocacy capabilities, and facilitate traditional healing practices among tribes and Native-led organizations.
