The DeKalb County Community Foundation aims to enhance the quality of life in DeKalb County by proactively addressing community needs through strategic grantmaking.
The Promise Grants program focuses on projects that serve to empower and assist underserved populations within DeKalb County. Guiding principles for the program include enhancing community participation and empowerment of marginalized groups, developing leadership skills, fostering understanding and tolerance, raising educational levels, and improving quality of life. The program has a particular interest in projects that strengthen organizations capable of transforming community perspectives and also supports initiatives related to healthcare and affordable housing within DeKalb Township.
