The mission of Delaware County Economic Development is to assist businesses with relocation, expansion, and diversification through comprehensive support services. These services include advice on loans and incentives, information on grant programs, site location assistance, and guidance on the local community, labor force, business regulations, and other relevant business topics.
The Delaware County Occupancy Tax Grant Programs aim to promote and develop the tourism industry within Delaware County, stimulate economic growth, and support projects that increase tourism, visitor frequency, and spending. The grant program is dedicated to funding initiatives proposed by the Tourism Promotion Agency of Delaware County with the goal of growing the local economy and creating jobs. Funding assistance is available for specific program activities, including arts and culture, community celebrations, promotion/marketing, capital improvements, and major capital improvements. These activities support events or projects that attract non-county visitors and are open to the public. Projects can receive up to $25,000, depending on the category, and all grants require a minimum 1:1 cash match from recipients. Grant awards are competitive and recommended by the Tourism Advisory Board and approved by the Delaware County Board of Supervisors.
