The foundation's grant program focuses on achieving oral health equity by addressing health disparities that are linked to race, ethnicity, income, geography, and age. It adopts a multifaceted approach by funding initiatives in key areas identified through research as most critical. These initiatives include the prevention of tooth decay particularly among pregnant individuals and young children, enhancing place-based access to care, and increasing the representation of underrepresented groups in dental health professions.
