The Donor Alliance Foundation aims to extend the mission of organ and tissue donation and transplantation through partnerships and breaking down barriers, positively affecting the donation and transplant community. They believe organ and tissue donation and transplantation are life-saving human gifts and advocate for acknowledgment, support, and resource access for all affected by donation.
The Donor Alliance Foundation focuses on enhancing community impact by overcoming systemic barriers to organ and tissue transplantation. They prioritize equitable access to donation and transplantation resources across Colorado and Wyoming. By distributing $200,000 in grants across three main areas – Education, Family Assistance, and Research (both social and clinical) – the Foundation supports projects that provide resource access and education to those affected by organ and tissue donation and transplantation. This includes supporting living donors and their families, addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion, and aiming to reach underserved populations, including those in rural areas, through innovative educational and assistance programs. The goal is comprehensive support for vulnerable populations and advancements in transplantation and donation research for better patient outcomes.
