The Community Impact Grants (CIG) by Duquesne Light Company focus on empowering grassroots community organizations with projects and programs that address critical areas impacting their customers and communities. The grant supports initiatives within three main focus areas: SOCIAL EQUITY, which includes social justice initiatives like housing, racial equality, refugee assistance, and food access for disenfranchised communities; EDUCATION, supporting programs in K-12 education focused on STEAM subjects, technology access, and equipment for education; and ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE, funding community gardens, park upgrades, restorations, and climate resilience projects to promote environmental sustainability and justice.
