The mission focuses on continuing the philanthropic legacy of Roberta and Phil through charitable trusts managed by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, aiming to support nonprofit organizations that align with the family's values and causes important to them, particularly in and around the Muskogee area.
The Kirschner Trusts award grants to charitable organizations that adhere to the philanthropic interests of the family. The grant program encompasses three main funding areas:
Jewish Education, Culture & Heritage: This aims to support organizations that provide social services, counseling, and education to children and young adults of Jewish heritage, as well as fostering public understanding of Jewish religion and culture.
Educational & Vocational Opportunities for Children & Young Adults with Disabilities: The goal is to support organizations offering educational and vocational opportunities to young individuals living with disabilities, aiming at their independence and self-sustainability. It specifies that social services should directly contribute to independent living and only project-based support requests will be considered.
Eastern Oklahoma Charitable Organizations: This area seeks to support organizations addressing the social, economic, and educational needs within their communities in Eastern Oklahoma.
