    3. Saving Panhandle Treasures: Supports initiatives that protect the area's historic, cultural, and natural landscapes.
    4. Waste and Recycling: Encourages projects that enhance recycling efforts, promote effective waste treatment, and reduce pollution.
    5. Energy Conservation: Backs efforts to increase energy efficiency and reduce consumption within the community.
    6. Growing the Movement: Seeks to empower new groups through volunteerism and leadership, promoting innovative approaches to conservation and preservation.

    Grants typically range from $1,000 to $2,500 and are awarded on a reimbursable basis. Recipients must submit a final report detailing the outcomes of their project and a summary of expenses by August 31 of the year following the receipt of the grant. Under certain circumstances, the Community Foundation may consider an extension or advance distribution of funds.
