Eliminate equity gaps in postsecondary completion by 2040
The Postsecondary State Career Technical Education Leaders Fellowship at Advance CTE – Sponsored by ECMC Foundation focuses on addressing the shortage of state postsecondary CTE leadership. It aims to close racial representation gaps and remove equity barriers to leadership advancement. The fellowship program supports mid-career CTE leaders by equipping them with strategic, equity-minded leadership skills, providing individualized supports, creating intentional networks, and facilitating real-world fellowship projects. This enables them to lead high-quality, equitable state postsecondary CTE systems effectively. The initiative, which began in Fall 2021, continues to evolve based on the needs of its diverse cohorts, covering more than 19 states with over 70 percent of fellows representing marginalized populations.
