EMSL offers the Limited Scope Proposal program for short-term projects that fall outside its advertised calls for proposals. This grant provides successful applicants with up to three months of access to EMSL resources starting from the experiment's commencement. Proposals are evaluated based on scientific merit, the research team's qualifications, relevance to EMSL's mission (including, for FICUS proposals, relevance to partner institutions), the impact on EMSL Science Areas, and the appropriateness of the resource request. This opportunity is open to global scientists looking to utilize EMSL's top-tier facilities and expertise at no cost, provided their research proposal passes a peer-review process.
