The Ethel and James Flinn Foundation is dedicated to enhancing mental health treatment, services, and programs that are effective and research-based, focusing on meeting the needs of individuals in Michigan, with a primary geographical concentration in the southeast region encompassing Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Washtenaw counties.
The Flinn Foundation’s grant program aims to enhance the capacity of mental health providers through one-year grant awards. These grants support a variety of initiatives, such as implementing or expanding telehealth infrastructure, increasing access to therapeutic treatments and mental health services both within and outside primary care settings, addressing treatment inequities and disparities, and fostering training, evaluation, workforce development, cross-sector collaboration, or other programmatic and technological advancements.
