ESCMID: Study Group Research Grant
From European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID)
The European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infection-related diseases. It supports this mission by promoting research, education, training, and good medical practice.
Overview
The Study Group Research Grant is aimed at official ESCMID Study Group research projects in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases, leveraging the society's extensive network of over 30 specialized Study Groups. The grant specifically encourages projects focusing on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) or emerging infections. As part of ESCMID's new strategy, additional ESCMID Förderverein grants are offered to support these focal areas within the usual grant calls, with an emphasis on addressing critical challenges in these domains. Two additional Study Group research grants are provided annually to support projects tackling antimicrobial resistance and/or emerging infections.
