The FAWCO Foundation's mission focuses on supporting charitable projects globally through its member clubs and FAUSA. For over 50 years, it has been providing financial assistance, donations, and hands-on support to initiatives that aim for a sustainable impact on various communities. The Foundation prioritizes projects that are directly beneficial and promotes sustainability in its efforts, particularly favoring grassroots organizations that lack substantial support from other sources.
The FAWCO Foundation Development Grant program aims to fund projects that can make an immediate and sustainable impact on the communities they serve. The grants are primarily targeted to support endeavors in three key areas: Education, Human Rights, and Global Issues. For Education, the focus is on promoting literacy, supporting academic studies, building educational facilities for disadvantaged groups, and providing training for economic and social empowerment of women and girls. Human Rights projects include vocational training, skills teaching, social initiatives for at-risk groups, addressing violence, healthcare, poverty, human trafficking, and promoting cultural understanding. Global Issues grants support projects that align with FAWCO's focus areas (Education, Environment, Health, or Human Rights), highlight local charities overlooked globally, and are executed in the nominating club's home country. The program encourages nominations for grassroots organizations from FAWCO clubs, aiming to support those with minimal to no other sponsorship or support.
