The FishAmerica Foundation’s mission focuses on empowering local communities to invest in the conservation and maintenance of waterways, through projects that enhance fish populations, aquatic habitats, and water quality.
This grant program by the FishAmerica Foundation aims to support grassroots, nonprofit organizations in their efforts to directly improve sport fish populations, aquatic habitat, or water quality. Eligible projects must take place in specific states (Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, New Hampshire, or Washington). The foundation offers up to $25,000 per project, favoring those with matching funds although it's not compulsory. Priority is given to "hands-on" initiatives that have tangible, positive impacts on water quality or aquatic habitats beneficial for recreational species.
