The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.
The National Infrastructure Partnerships initiative by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service encourages partnerships between National Wildlife Refuge System field stations and local, regional, national nonprofit organizations, land management groups, state and tribal partners. It aims to promote stewardship of Refuge System resources through habitat maintenance, restoration, and improvement, and supports the operation, maintenance, or improvement of the Refuge System's facilities and services. The initiative seeks to engage local communities in expanding outdoor recreation on refuge lands, address infrastructure repair and enhancement needs, and improve wildlife habitat.
