Type of Support

Overview

The Invasive Species Eradication Funding Opportunity, administrated by the USFWS in collaboration with DOI bureaus, aims to support the eradication of newly introduced or established invasive species in terrestrial or aquatic habitats in the United States, including U.S. territories. This initiative prioritizes projects that lead to the complete removal of invasive species populations and also considers research that enhances the effectiveness of eradication tools. The goal is to fund projects with a high potential for success in eradication, which can facilitate other objectives like habitat restoration or the recovery of threatened and endangered species. Preference is given to proposals that employ strategic approaches and have established partnerships and plans.
