    Overview

The grant program under the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program focuses on collaborative efforts to restore and conserve fish and wildlife habitats on private lands. With an operational span of over 35 years, the program emphasizes the development of project work plans that are in alignment with habitat conservation priorities within targeted geographic focus areas. These areas are chosen to direct resources efficiently toward the conservation of habitats critical for federal trust species. The guiding principles of the grant include promoting biological diversity and adhering to sound, scientific biological principles. The selection of projects is aimed to support the Secretary’s priorities and advance the missions of the PFW Program, the Department of the Interior, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Awards for projects are made on a rolling basis, with applications for FY24 due by May 30, 2024.
