The Florida Literacy Coalition (FLC) promotes, supports, and advocates for the effective delivery of quality adult and family literacy services in the state of Florida. It aims to assist adult education, literacy, and family literacy providers throughout Florida, with a special focus on aiding community-based literacy organizations in training and program development.
The Excellence in Education Award honors organizations that demonstrate significant achievement, innovation, leadership, or organizational excellence in adult and family literacy education within Florida. The recipient of this award will be recognized with a $100 gift certificate from New Readers Press and a $2,500 grant to support their efforts in enhancing literacy programs.
