The Fond du Lac Area Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life in our geographic area.
The Rural Vitality grant cycle is designed to support rural vitality in communities with less than 10,000 people or rural micropolitans of less than 50,000 people, focusing on creating and maintaining an active, strong, and thriving economy. Fond du Lac and Dodge County nonprofits and schools are eligible, excluding the cities of Fond du Lac and Beaver Dam due to population size. Approximately $50,000 is available for grants ranging from $500 - $25,000. Approved areas for granting include agriculture (enhancing the agricultural landscape and opportunities), community development (addressing essential community needs), entrepreneurship/small business development (supporting entrepreneurs and small business owners), housing expansion (enhancements to various types of housing), youth and adult leadership development (inspiring and training leaders), rural school education (enhancing preK-12 programming and experiences), and workforce development (supporting community members in vital careers and jobs, especially in agriculture).
