Management Assistance Grants (MAGs) are designed to foster collaboration among human service and community-based nonprofits, with the objective of building their capacity and amplifying the impact of their mission work. These grants support the costs associated with hiring third-party consultants for capacity-building projects tailored to the needs of collaborative groups. The grants emphasize financial strategy for operational sustainability and growth, developing ideas to enhance missions and seize program opportunities, improving board performance, creating models for better employee performance, and providing a platform for leadership challenges and aspirations. Funding focuses on projects aimed at finance, strategy, organizational realignment, and capacity-building initiatives that target organizational and systems-level impact. Additionally, proposals that address Social Determinants of Health by focusing on economic stability, education, social and community context, health and health care, and neighborhood and built environment are encouraged.
