Create opportunities for Appalachian Ohio's citizens and communities by inspiring and supporting philanthropy.
The African American Community Fund (AACF) grants program, supported by funding from the U.S. Bank Foundation, focuses on five key areas: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. The program prioritizes projects that drive transformative change, cater to community members of all ages, and unlock the potential within local communities and the broader Appalachian Ohio region. Special encouragement is given to youth-led initiatives. Additionally, the AACF offers capacity-building funding to aid Black-led and Black-serving organizations in expanding services, enhancing program quality, and improving operational efficiencies, thereby better serving their communities.
