Foundation For The Carolinas inspires philanthropy and empowers individuals to create a better community.
The Longleaf Fund's grant program is designed to support capital projects that benefit at-risk children and youth in selected communities within the Carolinas. Specifically, it focuses on projects within five cities: Charlotte, NC; Fayetteville, NC; Rocky Mount, NC; Florence, SC; and Spartanburg, SC. The grants prioritize one-time capital projects in three key areas: constructing or improving spaces for play, sports, and recreational activities to build community and promote physical activity; promoting learning, especially among at-risk youth, through enhanced access to technology; and improving the quality of life for children with disabilities by enhancing their educational or physical environments. This initiative underscores the fund's commitment to empowering communities and supporting the development of children and youth facing challenges.
