The Foundation for Delaware County aims to enhance the health and quality of life for children and families in Delaware County through targeted grantmaking efforts. While leveraging donor-advised, restricted, and specialized funds, their foundational goal remains steadfastly committed to driving positive change in the community by addressing crucial social determinants of health.
The Foundation for Delaware County’s 2022 Impact Grants focus on advancing the well-being of children and families by targeting key social determinants of health across several priority areas: Children’s Health and Well-Being, which includes behavioral health, health and nutrition, crime and violence prevention, education (spanning early childhood development to vocational training), maternity and prenatal/postnatal care, preventive healthcare, and youth development; Community and Economic Development, aiming for strategic investments to stimulate local advancement; and Food Security, by bolstering the emergency food network. The grant offerings include Core Support, Program or Project Support (which encompasses Capacity Building, Advocacy and Awareness, and Capital Expenditures), with a limited number of multi-year grants available. Applicants are restricted to one grant application per year or multi-year period within these defined areas.
