We support pioneering science to provide everyone access to affordable, nutritious food grown on thriving farms.
The FFAR Fellows Program aims to nurture leadership and professional development among PhD students engaged in food and agriculture-related sciences in the U.S. and Canada. It focuses on providing comprehensive training and development opportunities, including leadership competencies to enhance personal productivity and the capacity to contribute to the public good, fostering connections across research domains and geographic areas for multi-disciplinary problem-solving, and broadening students' understanding of career options beyond academia to include industry, government, and NGOs. Accepted students receive financial support covering tuition, fees, and stipends; the program emphasizes the value of external sponsorship from industry or similar entities and requires candidates to have a specified research project with committed sponsorship.
