The Community Foundation for MetroWest improves the quality of life in 30+ MetroWest communities by providing financial and educational resources to local nonprofit organizations, sharing essential data about our region to inform decision making, and partnering with donors to help guide and align their giving with the areas of greatest need in the community.
The grant program from the Community Endowment of Lexington aims to foster innovative approaches to both significant and minor issues affecting the Lexington community. With an expanded budget in celebration of their 10th Anniversary, they plan to award up to $100,000 in total grants for 2024, with individual grants funded up to $15,000. The focus areas for this grant include Health and Human Services, to improve quality of life for families, youth, and underserved populations; Arts & Culture, to bolster the cultural vitality of Lexington through support for visual and performing arts, and historic preservation; Environment, aimed at preserving natural resources and increasing environmental engagement; and Community Building, which encourages volunteerism, civic engagement, and collaborations that enhance community efforts.
