The Marvin - Wilson Community Needs Annual Grant by the Freeport Community Foundation is keen on funding initiatives that are collaborative, inclusive, and responsive to the current and emerging needs of the community. The grant favors programs and/or activities that present innovative, creative, and practical approaches in dealing with community needs, strengthen the capacity of the community to solve problems or seize opportunities, encourage partnerships and collaborative efforts to reduce service duplication, and demonstrate vision, action, effectiveness, good management, and quality. It supports a broad range of philanthropic fields including, but not limited to, initiatives that address current and emerging needs, foster civil and community betterment, meet human and health service needs, provide reform and innovation in schools and new learning approaches, and support the advancement of arts and literature.
