FRS is committed to supporting rural communities across the country by providing aid to enhance the quality of life. Through grants and other initiatives, FRS aims to foster development and ensure sustainable growth in these areas, focusing especially on communities served by NTCA members.
The Roger Cox Scholarship is offered by the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) to support rural students entering their first year of college or vocational school. It provides one $1,000 scholarship for a student who resides in the FOCUS Broadband service territory in North Carolina and two $500 scholarships for individuals living in rural areas of North Carolina and South Carolina. One application qualifies a student for all FRS scholarships. Scholarships are a one-time award.
