Bringing clubs together to cultivate the bond among people, plants, and the environment.
The goal of the grant is to support the preservation of tropical forests by increasing the number of botanists with field experience in this critical area. It does so by providing annual grants to doctoral candidates for independent field study in the tropics, mainly focusing on tropical plant systematics and tropical forest ecology. Established in 1983 by the Wildcat Foundation through the initiative of Mrs. Russell Arundel, it aims to enlarge the body of knowledge and scientific research in tropical botany.
