Type of Support

Overview

The George I. Alden Trust's Higher Education Grant program focuses on supporting capital needs that directly enhance the quality of undergraduate education across a variety of academic disciplines. This includes funding for the upgrade or construction of educational facilities such as classrooms, libraries, laboratories, and auditoriums, along with the purchase of necessary equipment and furnishings for these settings. The Trust has a history of providing outright grants as well as occasional challenge grants to encourage increased philanthropic support from institutional constituencies. First-time applicant colleges and universities might receive up to $100,000 in funding.
